What will happen if I choose to have plugs made?

An appointment will be booked with the Audiology team.

In the appointment, the Audiologist will check your ears for wax as this may affect how the plug is made.

The Audiologist will put a stop in your ear to protect your ear drum. They will place some putty in your ears which will harden over 5 minutes. Your ear will feel blocked during this time but it does not hurt.

They will remove the plug and send it off to snugs in Exeter. You have the choice of having it posted direct from Snugs or having a fitting appointment with the team at Faringdon Wellbeing Clinic.
