Osteopath Marianne Damgaard Jensen

Marianne graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in 1989. She has worked as a practicing osteopath for nearly 30 years in a variety of settings, mainly multidisciplinary clinics.

Since 1996 she has combined clinical practice with teaching, examining and research and has recently completed her Master of Science at Oxford Brookes University. Marianne has held a variety of teaching roles at BCOM in London and at Oxford Brookes University. She has been a visiting lecturer and presented widely both in the UK and abroad to osteopaths and other healthcare practitioners.

Marianne has been assessor for final clinical competency at most UK osteopathy programmes and is currently external examiner for European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone and London School of Osteopathy.

Since 2003 Marianne has been a joint director of The Faringdon Clinic.

Marianne’s special interests include the elderly, sports injuries and active management of chronic long-term pain patterns. Her master’s dissertation investigated effectiveness of treatment for chronic knee pain. Marianne is a keen open water swimmer, amateur triathlete but also enjoys yoga, pilates and travelling.
