THE ART OF EFFECTIVE BREATHING
Research has shown that yoga can slow down your heartrate, reduce anxiety and improve your mood. Breath is central to yoga.
Yoga teacher Lesley Muir has got together with Marianne Damgaard Jensen, osteopath at The Faringdon Clinic, to run workshops on how to use yoga to improve the quality of your breathing.
Each workshop consists of a short introduction to the anatomy and physiology of effective breathing and a longer practical yoga session. The yoga in this workshop is suitable for any age group and those with no experience of yoga.
- Workshop 1 – Exploring Breath, Posture and Movement, 2-5pm (arrivals from 1.45pm) held at The Faringdon Clinic
- Workshop 2 – Learn How to Control Your Energy with Yoga, 2-5pm (arrivals from 1.45pm) held at The Faringdon Clinic
Little or no previous experience of yoga is necessary. Yoga mats and supports will be provided. Spaces are limited to six per workshop.
