ACUPUNCTURIST
Richard qualified as an acupuncturist in 2010 from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. He has since treated people with a wide range of problems but has a special interest in treating pain and stress-related conditions. Richard is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
People who come for acupuncture often have chronic or complex problems and may have already tried other more conventional treatments with limited success. Acupuncture can offer a different approach that is holistic and gentle, identifying how things have gone out of balance, and helping the body to right itself.
Richard also has a psychology degree and is fascinated by the science of motivation, behaviour change and habit building. He has trained in various martial arts, teaches qigong (a form of health exercise, similar to tai chi), and can offer tailored lifestyle advice and exercises for patients to support their treatment.
